El historiador Jordi Oliva es el autor de un interesante reportaje sobre el campo de trabajo de Concabella: “Esclaus de la Rep\u00fablica: el camp de treball n\u00famero 4 de Concabella dins el m\u00f3n concentracionari del SIM”. Ha sido publicado en el primer n\u00famero de la revista Sikarra<\/em>, una nueva publicaci\u00f3n de investigaci\u00f3n y divulgaci\u00f3n de conocimientos en el \u00e1mbito comarcal editada por el Centre d’Estudis Segarrencs.<\/p>\n El d\u00eda 20 de mayo de 1938, un contingente de m\u00e1s de 800 presos procedente de la c\u00e1rcel Modelo de Barcelona constituy\u00f3 el campo de trabajo n\u00famero 4 de Concabella. A este contingente habr\u00eda que a\u00f1adir el personal de direcci\u00f3n, t\u00e9cnico, de administraci\u00f3n y servicios y de vigilancia del campo, que podr\u00eda ser de casi 90 miembros. El Servicio de Investigaci\u00f3n Militar (SIM) era quien ten\u00eda el control y utiliz\u00f3 los presos como fuerza de trabajo esclava para obras de fortificaci\u00f3n y de infraestructura militares en la Pleta de Concabella, la sierra de Queralt y el Calvari de Mont-roig.<\/p>\n Jordi Oliva elabora un estudio muy detallado sobre la realidad del campo de trabajo y lo que signific\u00f3 para una poblaci\u00f3n de unos 350 habitantes, que qued\u00f3 completamente trastornada.
